Would you study for an exam if no one knew when you were taking the actual test or how many times you took the test until you passed? What if there was no record to see if you passed the test? What if you could even get away with not taking the test at all, would you study for it and take it for your job? This was the challenge in creating a good clinical practice interactive training application.
A key requirement for anyone involved in the conduct of clinical research is Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training. GCP is the ethical and practical standard to which all clinical research is conducted.
Novartis came to us with a challenge. They had no way to track and see if employees were studying for their GCP test or if they were up-to-date with their certificate. Another requirement was to create quiz like games and highly interactive learning modules that would encourage their employees to study for the exam. Once they passed the training test, the employee could then go take the actual test. I created this application from the beginning to the end product: concept, interaction, wireframes and visual design. This was created for an iPhone and iPad application.
